Urtica Dioica (Stinging Nettles) “out of this nettle, danger, we pluck this flower, safety” -Henry IV, Part 1, Act II, Scene 3

Give me the spring sting of the nettle
Long before it’s flowering

When the poison
Is at it’s strongest
Dripping from
Young
Red brown
Hypodermic needle hairs

Hanging from the dorsal side
Of green toothy serrated leaves

Perrenial parasthesia
Setting in
Numbing
This bitter winter
Past
