Tonight
This pirate swings from chandeliers
Like a child on
A jungle gym.
Lusty rummy eyes
Torched.
Vulgar
But Sweet.
You tell me you love me
Besides my appalling behaviour
And toast to it
Earnestly
But tell me
I’d better turn it down a notch.
Right then
I’m hanging
Predominantly naked
From a most elaborate
Venetian crystal chandelier
Handmade by
Barovier & Toso
In 1725.
Too late.
The owner is drunk
And laughing
Amongst
A bevy of loud female companions.
Whether he takes
Notice of me or not
I don't care.
But I can tell
By the look in your eyes
That I need to tone
It down a notch
Or two
Or there’s gonna be
Hell to pay.
