A Segment

He buttoned his lip with one quick zip

As his face turned away

And he turned into a grocery

Leaving her outside

With the noise.

She just huffed

And dug her hands

Deeper into her jeans

Until her knuckles were tight and white.

She waited there

Looking sad

Amongst the crowds

Of unfamiliar people.

His freshly polished shoes

Patterned their way through

Her small broken heart.

He thought to himself

As he watched her

Through the shop window.

Walking all over her was such an easy task.
